Gas Chromatography (GC-MS)

Two last-gen gas chromatographs (Thermo Fisher Scientific Trace 1300) in combination with quadrupole mass spectrometers enable both highly sensitive trace and robust routine analysis for volatile compounds. Sensitive analytes can also be quantified after conversion steps (derivatization). Gas chromatography has been one of the most important technologies in environmental analysis for decades and is increasingly used in food analysis due to significant advancements in sensitivity and selectivity.

High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

UHPLC enables the separation of complex sample mixtures for the detection of micro and macro constituents down to the picogram range. Our latest generation of instruments allows the analysis of food ingredients and contaminants at high speed with increased sample throughput. A wide range of detectors allows rapid method development for individual problems. The purification of substance mixtures and the preparation of standards is realized by using preparative liquid chromatography.
