Post-Doctorate

Dr. Julian Weghuber successfully habilitated at the JKU.

Priv. Doz. Dr. Julian Weghuber's thesis "Identification and quantitation of protein-protein interactions required for cellular signal transduction via micro-structured surfaces" deals with the development and implementation of a method based on micro-structured surfaces and fluorescence microscopy for the quantitative analysis of protein-protein interactions in living cells. Born in 1979, he studied genetics in Vienna and completed his PhD studies at MFPL Vienna, followed by a PostDoc position at JKU. Weghuber was also active at the FH OÖ and at the K1-Center FFoQSI. He has already received numerous grants for his work, including PhytoDoc from the state of Upper Austria and the EU in the amount of 320,000 € and the Josef Ressel Center for Phytogenic Drug Research in the amount of 1,600,000 €.
